Hello Kitty Cards
I absolutely love the ! It’s definitely one of my favorites because I love Hello Kitty. I only wish it had more of the other Sanrio characters!
Here’s are some cute little thank you cards I made for my co-workers. It has an outline of Hello Kitty’s face over a layer of punched cardstock and ribbon. Really simple card to put together. The hardest part was punching out Hello Kitty’s face and gluing it to the background layer.
What you need:
- Cricut Expression Machine
- Martha Stewart Double Loop Punch
- Pink Ribbon
- Adhesive and Foam Dots
How to make:
To start, you’ll need a folded card. If you don’t have one, you can always take a piece of 8×11 cardstock and cut it in half. Then fold one of the halves in half to get a small card.
Then, with an edger punch, (I just happen to use Martha Stewart Double Loop Punch), punch along the edge of contrasting cardstock. I used a light violet color piece in this card. Cut down this border to the size of the card and leave a nice big header.
On this header, adhere a nice piece of pretty ribbon on it. I used a pink ribbon to match with the rest of the card.
Finally, you’ll need Hello Kitty’s face! Find it in the Cricut cartridge and use white cardstock for the background, and a pink for the outline layer. I cut them at size 2″. Once you finish cutting them, use glue to put the two layers together. Be careful not to lose the small pieces for the eyes and nose! Once the glue dries, use foam tape on the back and adhere to the card.
